Account and data deletion
This page lets you request deletion of your FuelLog account and backend data linked to Google sign-in.
Important: FuelLog does not use a separate password account. In our system, an account is created when you sign in with Google. Deletion therefore applies to backend data linked to that Google account.
Option 1: Delete in the app
Open the app:
FuelLog → Settings → Google account / Account and data → Delete account
To remove local data from your phone, uninstall the app or use Android Settings → Apps → FuelLog → Storage → Clear data. Manual backups, exports and files saved outside the app must be deleted separately.
Option 2: Delete using this website
Sign in on this page with the Google account used in the app. The website sends the Google ID token to our backend, the backend verifies your identity, and then lets you schedule account deletion. The Google ID configuration for this page may be completed by the operator separately.
Option 3: Request by email
If you cannot sign in with Google, email us at:
Include the email address of the Google account used in the app. We may ask for additional verification to prevent deletion of someone else's account.
What will be deleted on the backend
- the Google account profile and identifiers stored on our backend, such as email, name and profile picture if stored by us;
- the link between your Google account and devices;
- entitlement/plan, credits and related backend account settings;
- Cloud Backup database backup and metadata, if present;
- technical records directly linked to the account, unless they are required for limited security or legal audit purposes.
What the backend does not delete
Local cars, fuel entries, expenses, maintenance records, inspections, motorway vignette records, local photos and exported PDF/CSV files remain on the device or in the destination chosen by the user. The backend and this website cannot delete them remotely.
Local app data on the phone is usually removed by uninstalling the app. Alternatively, you can delete it in Android Settings → Apps → FuelLog → Storage → Clear data. Files saved outside the app, such as PDF exports or manual ZIP backups, must be deleted separately.
If Android system backup is enabled, Android may keep an app backup according to your device and Google account settings. These backups are managed outside FuelLog in Android or Google account settings.
Protection period and cancellation
After confirmation, deletion will be scheduled after a 48-hour protection period. Until then, you can cancel the request in the app or on this page after signing in with the same Google account.
What may remain temporarily or in limited form
After deletion is completed, we may keep a minimal technical audit record without direct identifiers, for example a user hash, request time, processing status and confirmation that deletion was completed. Some data may be retained temporarily if necessary for security, support, abuse prevention, accounting, legal obligations or defense of legal claims.
