Security

Data security matters to FuelLog, especially for photos, exports, backups, Cloud Backup, Google sign-in and app diagnostics.

Basic measures

data transfer to the backend and Google/Firebase services uses HTTPS;
account access is handled via Google sign-in;
backend tokens are stored in encrypted app storage where supported by the device;
photos are stored locally in the app's internal storage in the current version;
Cloud Backup stores database history without physical attachment photos;
ZIP backups and exports are controlled by the user, who chooses where to save or share them;
Firebase Crashlytics and diagnostics help detect crashes and app issues;
limited audit records may be kept for selected actions.

do not share access to your Google account;
check who you are sending an export file to;
do not photograph data that is not needed for vehicle records;
if you use Cloud Backup, protect both your device and Google account with strong security.
